MDX AT is designed for automated stress testing of MS Analysis Services 2005/2008 (SSAS) databases.
Using MDX AT you can simulate a multi-user access scenario, when concurrent users are sending MDX queries to an SSAS database.
|

The application is capable of generating a variety of MDX queries, required for comprehensive testing,
based on your selection of MDX query templates. Application-generated queries can be used in combination with user-supplied queries.
|
To create realistic performance testing scenario, you can specify:
- Usage ratio between user-supplied and application-generated queries;
- Number of concurrent users sending MDX queries;
- Number of queries sent by each user;
- Time interval between query executions;
- "Clear SSAS database cache" strategy.
During the test, the application sends randomly selected MDX queries to a target SSAS database.
For each executed query, the application displays the start time, end time, duration, and execution status.
In addition to measuring MDX query responce time, the application can be used as an SSAS database cache warm up utility
and for validating calculated members.
